ABOUT

Why Nausika.

Nausika started on a Saturday passage from Anzio. The forecast said north-west 8 knots; the boat met south-west 18 with a cross-swell. The charts were three apps deep. The tide window was wrong. The sky read different than the models.

We built Nausika so the AI you already talk to — Claude, ChatGPT, the agent in your IDE — could read the sea before you sail it, and so every passage could teach the chart a little more.

§ Manifesto

The sea is open.
The data should be.
Every sailor makes the next passage safer.

§ Team

A small crew, by design.

Built by Andrea di Cagno. For now, that's the team. If Nausika is useful to you, your beta feedback counts more than any hire we could make today.

§ Data sources

Nausika is a layer on top of openly licensed marine data. We do not claim provenance over what these feeds provide; we cite, aggregate and serve.
